Being Invisible

I want to take "ethnographic photos". That is, to show through them people doing what they usually do when there are no cameras at sight. I make the distinction, being a research of consumer cultures, between porn photos and invisible photos. Porn photos, are the overwhelming majority of photos we human take amongst ourselves, with this tendency to pose and exhibit ourselves, and by doing so, truncating, dismantling, and artificially hiding our interactions. Invisible photos occur when the camera stops being an image capturing artifact, and physically becomes part of interaction, and the eye-hand that uses the camera feels how it flotes among the invisible threads that sustain the sense-making people atribute towards the situation itself.

Quiero sacar "fotografías etnográficas" esto es, que se vea a la gente haciendo lo que generalmente hace cuando no hay cámaras a la vista. Yo hago la distinción, siendo investigador de culturas de consumo, entre fotos porno y fotos invisibles. Las fotos "pornográficas", son la gran mayoría de las fotos que nos sacamos los humanos entre sí, con esta tendencia a posar, a exibirnos, y al hacerlo así truncamos, desbaratamos, ocultamos nuestras interacciones de manera artificial. Las fotos "invisibles", ocurren cuando la cámara deja de ser un capturador de imágenes, y se convierte en parte física de la interacción, y el ojo-mano que usa la cámara, siente cómo esta flota entre los lazos invisibles que sostienen el sentido que la gente atribuye a una situación.
