I'm having a "Betancourt feeling": The emergence of a new feeling
Yesterday morning, Ingrid Betancourt was freed. A new feeling has emerged through her, and by means of her. She couldn't words to describe how she felt. How could she? She felt "betancourt".
That is, she has been freed without violence, which could only be done through a humane approach to understand the otherness of "the enemy". And the most incredible dimension of this feeling, is that it has not yet reached a complete closure. It's an evolving feeling that connects to hope and to a profound gut-feeling of survival acheived through understanding others, through love.
